This pic is so dynamic its really great work he looks like he's going to leap right off the page.

:-) James Lara replies: "Thank you. It took me forever to color this. I saw an article in the art resource section, where you scan your artwork in at 200% or more, and then color it. Get more detail that way. I enjoyed trying out this hint, but it took way too much memory and about 20 times longer to color. This picture took roughly three days off and on..."

Wait a second....was the last thanatos picture, the one with the great action pose just a younger version? Because now his facial features (as well as his costume) match up much more with the first I saw by the lake....hmmm, I like that, if it is, showing a character kicking butt at all stages of his l ife. This is a great picture, by the way, wonderful action, marvelous colouring. Your work on blades and lighting is something to be commented on too, because you do it so well, definately respecting the fact that they are metal by making them actually appear so. Very impressive.

:-) James Lara replies: "I've been drawing Thanatos for about 15 years give or take. Peace has been there right along with him. Different costume variations, but there all the same. As far as him looking older, it's just a timeline consideration, I'm getting older, so darnit my characters better get older too. Thank you for the compliment on the swords. Getting the colors right is a fickle beast, but I try..."

This is freaking bad ass!!! Love the pose way wicked cool....Well what would I do if I saw him, run yup I would run the heck out of there screaming for my life. ^-^ Love the coloring too!!! Yup, blue is the best choice. ^o^

:-) James Lara replies: "What other color would I use for a fan of blue? And don't worry, I doubt that Thanatos would come after you, unless it was because he felt that you're a beautiful woman. So don't run away, if you see him. LOL..."
